The plant
Order which includes the daylily family (Hemerocallidaceae)
and many others such as the asparagus, onion, agave,
lily-of-the-valley, iris, and hyacinth families. Black seeds are
characteristic of most Asparagales due to a layer of phytomelan on
the seed coat
(testa).
