Color: LOM1: Light orange medium self Parentage: Notes: Charles Francois Antoine Morren (1807-1858) named this species for the renowned Belgian botanist, Barthelemy Charles Joseph Dumortier, author of "Florula Belgica." The daylily was first grown at the Botanical Garden in Ghent, Belgium in 1832. Morren was Director of the Jardin Botanique di Universite de Liege. He published the name "Dumortieri" in Horticulteur Belge, Journal des Jardiniers et Amateurs in 1834. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
