Visitor Information

The Greater Minneapolis-St. Paul Area—also called the Twin Cities—has a population of a little over 3,000,000 and much to offer visitors. If you have time and transportation, you can find great shopping, dining, cultural opportunities, and recreational activities—many located within 10 miles of the Doubletree Hotel. Ask at the hotel for suggestions regarding transportation if you do not have a vehicle.

To help you get around:
The freeway just south of the Doubletree Hotel is I-494. In this part of the metro area, I-494 runs east (to MSP Airport and St. Paul) and west (toward the Arboretum). It is part of the circle route around the metro area.

Normandale Blvd is the same as MN-100 near the hotel. MN-100 is a north-south route that originates as a freeway at I-494. South of I-494, it is called Normandale Blvd.

The nearest entrance ramp onto MN-100/Normandale Blvd S. is at Industrial Blvd/W. 77th St. (north of the hotel parking lot). Note that the entrance ramp for either direction is a left turn.

To get to I-494, go left onto the south ramp of MN-100 BEFORE crossing the highway. At I-494, follow the signs for east or west. Go east for France Ave S, the Mall of America, and the airport. Go west to get to MN-169, Chaska, and the west metro.

If you want to go north on MN-100/Normandale, continue on 77th St. and turn left onto the north ramp on the east side of the highway.

Visitors can climb the cliffs of the St. Croix River Dalles, canoe the flat-water, watch kayakers rush through the rapids, or relax on an excursion boat. During the summer, hike the trails and explore the glacial potholes that make this park unique.
