2008 Open Gardens – Amarillo Area

There are four public gardens in the Amarillo area that are considered showcases and each have over 150 labeled daylilies and other mixed flowers.  The daylilies were planted and are mostly maintained by members of the Golden Spread Daylily Society.  These locations are listed below:

1.  Potter County Extension Center, 3301 E. 10th Street, Amarillo, TX 79104

2.  Amarillo Botanical Gardens, 1400 Streit Drive, Amarillo, TX 79106

3.  Randall County Extension Center, Highway 60 West of Canyon 2 mi (Brown Rd), Canyon, TX 79015

4.  The St. Claire Capuchin Monastery Gardens, 4300 NE 18th Street, Amarillo, TX 79017

5.   (By Appointment) Don R. Glenn, 12016 S. Osage Street, Amarillo, TX 79118 Phone:  806-622-0251

Hopefully, some AHS members will stop in Amarillo and enjoy the scenery unique to our region of Texas.

Respectfully,

Don R. Glenn, Vice President
