Region 1 Event Schedule

Workshop fee is $5.00 to test or $3.00 to audit.  Fee is payable at the workshop.  Attendees must download and read the 2011 revision of Garden Judges Handbook prior to the workshop (available to download at www.daylilies.org/AHSJudgesDocsG.html).

These are both deluxe properties only 100 yards apart.  The Hilton Garden Inn will be the site of plant sales and boutiques, and the banquet.  The Hampton Inn will be the site for the judges clinics.  Both are adjacent to a shopping center with a Fresh Market, Williams-Sonoma, Nadeau oriental imports and other up-scale shops and just across the street from a Publix, Kitchen Outfitters, Bonefish Grill, Atlanta Bread Company and others.  Oglethorpe Mall is also only a few miles away on Abercorn Street.  You’re welcome to come early or stay late if you like and enjoy our beautiful city...these hotels offer free shuttle service to Savannah’s Historic District and discounted trolley tours of the downtown area can be arranged through the concierge or there are various free and convenient walking tours.

$85 single or double queen. Mention “Willamette Valley Daylily Club” for special rates. Rooms are being held until July 1. After that, rates will be honored depending on room availability.

First five Youth members register for free.

HIGHLIGHTED EVENTS INCLUDE:

Friday:

Social Hour, The Region 15 Daylily Auction, Exhibition Judges Clinics I and III, Region 15 board meeting and Region 15 officers and club officers forum. Times and places are in the agenda.

Saturday:

Morning and Afternoon: Bus tours of outstanding area gardens.

Saturday Night:

Banquet and Region 15 awards presentation. John and Annette Rice will be the featured speakers.

Sunday Morning:

Free Brunch (and Paul Owen introduction!) at Slightly Different Nursery for all registered attendees. The Brunch will be followed by a Garden Judges II Workshop in the garden.
